AMC+ Free Trial: 7 Days Free, Plan Prices and How to Cancel

AMC+ offers a 7-day free trial on all three plans when you sign up at amcplus.com or in its app. Plans run $7.99 to $10.99 a month. Here is who qualifies and how to cancel.
Yes, AMC+ has a free trial. Its support site says that when you subscribe at amcplus.com or in the AMC+ app, "you'll be offered a 7-day free trial in most cases." On October 27, 2026, all three AMC+ plans showed a 7-day free trial, with prices from $7.99 a month after it ends.

How the AMC+ free trial works
The AMC+ homepage listed "7 DAY FREE TRIAL" on each plan: Monthly with Ads, Monthly Premium and Annual Premium. After 7 days, the plan you chose starts billing.
AMC+ is the streaming home for AMC's own shows, including The Walking Dead Universe and Anne Rice's Immortal Universe, plus collections such as horror, thrillers, drama, true crime and exclusive movies.
Who doesn't get a free trial
The AMC+ free trial article names two common reasons you might not be offered a trial:
- You used a promo code "that already offers some other benefit (like a discount)."
- You're "resubscribing on an old account and you already used the free trial there when you first signed up."
Signing up through someone else changes things too. If you subscribe through your cable TV provider, Apple TV Channels, Roku Channels or Prime Video Channels, "a trial may or may not be offered," because those are "external platforms not controlled by AMC directly." Our guide to Prime Video Channels free trials explains how those work.
AMC+ says it's available in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and that the content selection "varies somewhat based on location, due to licensing restrictions."
AMC+ plans and prices after the trial
The AMC+ pricing article and homepage listed these prices on October 27, 2026:
- Monthly with Ads: $7.99/month.
- Monthly Premium: $10.99/month. Ad-free (with exclusions) and downloads.
- Annual Premium: $109.99/year. The homepage compared this to $131.88 and said it's "like $9.16/month," which it described as saving "over 15%."
The homepage notes that on Premium plans "Live TV and select on demand programming may contain ads, promos, or sponsorships," and "Some titles may not be available for download." AMC+ also says that if your TV provider offers a full cable-like package, you may be able to add AMC+ there, sometimes at "a slightly lower rate." Prices can change.
You may already have AMC+
Before starting a trial, check your TV package. AMC+ says Spectrum and DirecTV are offering some customers complimentary access to AMC+ With Ads, in these packages only:
- Spectrum: TV Select, Signature and Spectrum TV Select Plus.
- DirecTV: My Entertainment.
According to the complimentary access article, you watch it in the AMC+ website or app, not your provider's app.
How to cancel the AMC+ free trial
The AMC+ cancellation guide first asks where you subscribed: directly at amcplus.com, Apple, Amazon, Google Play, Roku, Samsung or Verizon. Each has its own steps. For a direct subscription, AMC+ says to use "a computer and web browser (not the app)":
- Go to www.amcplus.com/account/subscription, or find the gear icon in the menu to open the Account page.
- Click Subscription. The tab shows your plan, renewal date and status.
- Click Cancel.
Check the renewal date on that Subscription tab so you know your deadline. If you signed up through an app store or a channel platform, cancel with that company instead. For timing tips, see our guide on how to cancel a free trial before you're charged.
Bottom line
AMC+ gives most new direct subscribers 7 days free on any plan. Skip the promo code if you want the trial, and check whether Spectrum or DirecTV already includes AMC+ With Ads in your package. If you're not keeping it, cancel from the Subscription tab on a computer before the renewal date.
