The National Park Service is waiving entrance fees at all fee-charging national parks for Independence Day weekend (July 3–5, 2026) and the NPS's 110th birthday (August 25, 2026). Around 106 parks that normally charge $20–$35 per vehicle are free to enter — no pass, reservation, or signup needed at most parks. New for 2026: free entry applies to U.S. citizens and residents only. Camping, tours, and special permits still cost extra.
