Compare two active travel-rewards sweepstakes, their entry limits, and warning signs for Wichita residents.
No currently open Wichita-only travel sweepstakes is verified as of August 19, 2026. Wichita residents can instead consider two documented national travel-rewards sweepstakes from Best Western and Choice Privileges. A travel sweepstakes is a chance-based promotion offering travel-related prizes, not a guaranteed discount or free trip.
Check the sponsor's rules, deadline, entry method, and restrictions before entering.

The Wichita family getaway has ended
Visit Wichita's Great Wichita Family Getaway is no longer accepting entries. The family-of-four package was valued at about $2,680, but its entry period ran from March 24 through May 11, 2026, with winner selection planned for May 12. Visit Wichita now marks the promotion as ended.
Search results and shared posts may continue pointing to that page. Check the entry dates instead of assuming a visible form, prize description, or "Wichita getaway" headline represents an open promotion.
Best Western's points sweepstakes
Best Western's Summer 2026 sweepstakes runs through September 7, 2026. It offers at least 50 prizes of 250,000 Best Western Rewards points each, according to the Best Western promotion and rules. A hotel stay is not required for the mail-in entry method, but entrants must belong to Best Western Rewards.
Mail entries must be submitted by September 7, and each person may receive no more than 20 total entries. Odds depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Choice Privileges' summer promotion
The Choice Privileges Mastercard Summer Travel Sweepstakes accepts eligible entries through September 30, 2026. It is open to legal residents of all 50 states and Washington, D.C., which includes Kansas residents. The prizes include one million points for one grand-prize winner, four monthly prizes of 250,000 points, and 122 daily prizes of 50,000 points.
Qualifying Mastercard purchases generate automatic entries, but the Choice Privileges and Wells Fargo rules provide a free alternate entry method.
What "no purchase necessary" requires
"No purchase necessary" means an eligible person has a way to enter without buying something. It does not remove account requirements, entry limits, deadlines, or instructions. Before entering: These promotions award chances to win points, not guaranteed savings.
Prize totals also do not establish your individual odds; Best Western specifically states that its odds depend on the number of eligible entries.
- Confirm that the sponsor's entry window remains open.
- Check location and membership requirements.
- Follow the alternate entry instructions exactly.
- Track your entries so you do not exceed the stated limit.
Screen travel-prize notices before paying
The Kansas Attorney General says legitimate sweepstakes do not charge winners to collect prizes. Its guidance also says Kansas law prohibits requiring a purchase to enter or win a sweepstakes. Kansas consumers should reject requests for upfront taxes, insurance, shipping, or handling.
Compare any winning notice with the sponsor and rules for the promotion you entered. If collecting the alleged prize requires an upfront payment, do not send the money.
