Request a mailed sample in the U.S.
Wellness Pet Food states its limited-time Wellness Protein Bowls dog-food sample is requested through its sign-up form. It is sent as a random recipe assortment to U.S. residents while supplies last, according to the Wellness partnership sign-up page.
That randomness matters for planning. You cannot choose the recipe, so check the assortment works for your dog's age, size, and dietary needs. If your dog has food sensitivities, keep the trial small at first.
Save the package information so your regular veterinarian can review it if questions arise.
Ask a local store for a sample
Open Farm states free pet-food samples are available at local Open Farm resellers. Shoppers can email [email protected] for help finding a participating store, as explained in the Open Farm FAQ. Store supply varies by location.
Call ahead when possible and ask whether dog or cat samples are currently available. Bring your pet's current food name and feeding amount. Store staff can then suggest a matching sample type and explain feeding directions.
Redeem a trial-bag coupon in Canada
CHARM Pet Food Canada provides a printable coupon for a free 340g CHARM trial bag redeemable in-store at participating retailers. The same coupon also includes $10 off dog food or $6 off cat food, according to the CHARM free trial bag page. Print the coupon before visiting.
