What Counts as a Daily Entry in a Holiday Giveaway?

See what makes a holiday entry count for that day, when to re-enter, and how cutoffs affect your chance.

A daily entry counts as one eligible form or action you submit during that day's stated entry window. ATLFavs limits entrants to one entry per person for each Daily Period, so a second submission the same day does not add another chance, according to ATLFavs November giveaway rules. A holiday event often runs as separate daily drawings rather than one long contest.

Each drawing has its own entry period, prize pool, and cutoff in a stated time zone.

When does your entry count for the day?

Each daily period has fixed start and end times. ATLFavs uses Eastern Time and closes each day at 6:00 PM ET, with late entries counted toward the next day, according to ATLFavs daily period rules. Check the stated zone before you submit.

A 6:05 PM entry in one zone may fall on different days in another. A sponsor can also divide a holiday event into separate daily contests. Complex ran 12 Daily Sweepstakes that each started at 12 PM ET, according to Complex holiday sweepstakes rules.

Read that day's period dates before you enter. The start time sets which prize pool your entry joins.

Does one entry cover the whole event?

No. A daily entry generally enters only that day's drawing and does not carry over. Both ATLFavs and Perks at Work state that entries do not carry over, as described in Perks at Work holiday event raffle rules.

You must re-enter each day to stay in each drawing. Think of each day as a fresh list. Monday's entry stays with Monday's drawing.

Tuesday needs a new entry during Tuesday's window.

How are daily winners and odds set?

Each daily winner comes from a random drawing from that day's eligible entries, as ATLFavs explains in its 2026 giveaway rules. Odds for a day depend on how many eligible entries that day received. Fewer entries that day means higher odds for each eligible entry.

No purchase is needed to enter or win, and buying does not improve odds. ANA consumer guidance cites federal mail rules for that disclosure, and the sponsor rules repeat it. A paid order does not move your entry ahead of free entries.

What can make a daily entry invalid?

Automated entries are void. ATLFavs states in its 2026 giveaway rules that entries made by script, bot, or other automated means do not count. Giving a phone number or marketing consent is not required to enter and does not change odds.

Eligibility still controls whether a timely entry can win. Complex and ATLFavs tie eligibility to age, residency, and void-where-prohibited terms. An on-time entry can still be ineligible.

  • Confirm age and residency fit that day's terms.
  • Submit one manual entry per person during the stated window.
  • Use the listed time zone and keep proof of entry time.
