Who qualifies for the birthday gift?
You must be an Ulta Beauty Rewards member, enter your birth date in your profile, and opt in to marketing communications before your birthday month. Ulta sends the offer through its birthday email or app, according to the Ulta Beauty birthday gift page. Check these account details before your birthday month: The offer is limited to one coupon per member during that member's birthday month.
Meeting the account requirements does not reserve a particular gift.

Where to find your reward
First, check the Ulta app and the email account connected to your rewards membership. Look for the birthday offer and its coupon code during your birthday month. You can also sign in on Ulta's website during that month.
The Ulta Beauty birthday gift page says members can choose an available birthday-gift item, which becomes free in the cart if the reward has not already been redeemed. If the offer is missing, verify your profile information and communication settings. The documented eligibility rules require both a saved birth date and advance marketing opt-in.
Redeeming the gift in a store
For an in-store redemption, show the valid birthday coupon code from your Ulta app or birthday email to the cashier. No purchase is required for this method under the Ulta Beauty Rewards terms. Gift quantities are limited.
Ulta does not provide substitutions or rainchecks, so another gift is not promised if your preferred item is unavailable.
Online and pickup order requirements
Online redemption is not a completely purchase-free checkout. Your merchandise subtotal must exceed $0, and the order must include at least one product that is not from UB Marketplace. Shipping charges may still apply.
Pickup orders follow a similar purchase condition: you need more than $0 in qualifying non-UB Marketplace merchandise, and a coupon code may be required. The in-store no-purchase rule therefore does not apply when you place a pickup order. A simple example is an online cart containing one qualifying paid product and one selected birthday gift.
The gift may become free, but the paid merchandise and any applicable shipping remain part of the order.
Other limits and birthday benefits
The gift cannot be redeemed through DoorDash, Instacart, Uber Eats, TikTok Shop, Google AI surfaces, or auto-replenish orders. It is also unavailable for purchases outside the United States, as listed on Ulta Beauty's birthday gift page. Eligible members also receive 2X points on qualifying in-store and online purchases during their birthday month.
Platinum and Diamond members receive an additional birthday perk, although the cited program information does not specify that perk here. Ulta may change or end the birthday benefit. To preserve the widest choice, look for the reward early in your birthday month and redeem it before available gift quantities run out.
