Top Winston-Salem, NC Grocery Giveaways With No Purchase Necessary: Safe Entry Guide
Enter Food Lion and Lowes Foods grocery giveaways without buying, plus get a free birthday treat safely.
Winston-Salem readers have two verified no-purchase-necessary grocery sweepstakes options right now: the Food Lion ACC Sweepstakes and the Lowes Foods grill giveaway, plus a free loyalty program with a birthday treat. "No purchase necessary" means entry does not require buying a product, but age, residency, and entry limits still apply. Sponsor Food Lion LLC states the ACC Sweepstakes runs 12:00 AM ET Aug.
28, 2026 to 11:59 PM ET May 18, 2027, allows one entry per person per day, and requires no purchase or payment, as described on the SweepPromo entry and rules page. Lowes Foods LLC states no purchase is necessary to enter or win its giveaway and a purchase will not improve chances, as described on the Lowes Foods giveaway rules page. Winston-Salem residents in North Carolina can use those terms to decide which entry fits them.

Which grocery entries can you use without buying?
Food Lion's ACC Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of North Carolina plus nine other states or areas who are age 18 or older. It allows one entry per person per day during the entry period. Lowes Foods separates entry from purchase.
Its rules state odds depend on eligible entries received and entrants agree the rules form a binding contract. That structure favors routine entrants over frequent shoppers.
Do you meet the age, location, and limit rules?
Check three items before entering Food Lion's sweepstakes: North Carolina residency, age 18 or older, and one entry per person per day. A second entry the same day does not help and may break the rules. For Lowes Foods, confirm the residency stated in the specific giveaway rules you enter.
Keep your own count of entries, dates, and confirmation screens. Stop when you reach the daily or overall limit.
How do you enter safely?
Use only the sponsor's entry page and rules page linked from the store or brand site. Do not pay a fee to enter, claim, ship, or release a grocery prize. The North Carolina Department of Justice warns never to pay upfront fees to win a prize or sweepstakes and never to share personal or financial information unless you know who is asking and why, as explained in the state consumer-protection tips page.
Watch for these warning signs:
- A message asks for payment, gift cards, or bank details to enter or win.
- A form asks for more personal data than needed to contact a winner.
- The sender name, address, or link does not match the grocer.
What is different about loyalty birthday perks?
Club Publix is a free loyalty program, not a sweepstakes entry. Publix states members receive personalized savings, digital shopping tools, and special birthday perks including a birthday treat from the company, as listed in the Club Publix FAQ. That distinction matters for planning.
A sweepstakes offers a chance to win, while a loyalty account offers program benefits tied to membership and store terms. Winston-Salem shoppers who want a smaller, account-based benefit can join the free program separately from entering sweepstakes.
