Compare three open Minnesota sweepstakes, their entry limits, deadlines, required details, and key safety checks.

Three current sweepstakes may interest Saint Paul readers: promotions from Minnesota Credit Union Network, Minnesota United FC, and Affinity Plus. A sweepstakes is a chance-based prize promotion; "no purchase necessary" means entry requires no purchase, not that a reward is guaranteed. As of August 29, 2026, all three remain open.

Only the Minnesota Credit Union Network promotion is specifically documented as Saint Paul–based, so this is not a comprehensive list of local contests.

Three current no-purchase alerts

Minnesota Credit Union Network's "It's a Credit Union Thing" sweepstakes runs through September 30. U.S. residents age 18 or older may enter through the free email method without purchasing, joining, or opening an account.

Email entries have the same winning chance as photo entries, with a limit of one per person daily. The form requires a name, email address, and telephone number, according to the Minnesota Credit Union Network rules. Minnesota United FC's MN State Fair Sweepstakes closes September 7.

Minnesota residents age 18 or older may submit one free online entry. The form requests a name, email, birth date, phone number, and ZIP code. Commercial-email consent is optional and does not improve the entrant's odds.

Sponsor and MLS employees, their immediate families, and household members cannot enter under the Minnesota United FC rules. Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union's Campus Sweepstakes remains open through October 25. Residents of Minnesota and four other eligible states may enter at age 18 or older without purchasing anything.

Entrants select one listed college location and receive one entry per email address. Each participating campus location has one $1,000 Visa gift card prize, as detailed on the Affinity Plus promotion page.

Which entry fits you?

A Saint Paul resident age 18 or older meets the stated age and geographic starting points for all three promotions. Other restrictions still apply, so check employment, family, household, and location rules before entering. The credit union network sweepstakes offers the most frequent entry schedule: one email entry per person each day.

Minnesota United allows only one online entry for its entire promotional period. Affinity Plus also allows only one entry per email. Its additional decision is the participating college location, and an entrant may select only one location rather than entering across multiple campuses.

A safer entry routine

Start from the sponsor page and read the rules before providing personal information. Confirm that the promotion remains open and that your age, residence, and relationship to the sponsor do not disqualify you. Before submitting: "No purchase necessary" addresses the entry cost.

It does not remove age, residence, household, campus-selection, or entry-frequency restrictions.

  • Check whether the limit is once daily or once for the entire promotion.
  • Provide only the information required for entry.
  • Treat optional marketing consent separately from contest participation.
  • Record the closing date and keep the rules or submission confirmation.
  • Avoid creating extra entries through another email when the rules limit entries per person or email.

Recognize a dangerous prize message

Entry forms can legitimately request ordinary contact details, as these promotions do. A later prize message deserves separate scrutiny, especially if it requests money or more sensitive information. The Federal Trade Commission says to reject prize claims requiring a fee, payment for better odds, bank or card details, or a Social Security number.

It also advises consumers to find the sponsor's contact information independently instead of relying on a message's link or telephone number, according to its fake prize and sweepstakes guidance. If a prize notice includes any payment demand, stop. Verify the promotion through contact information you independently locate before replying or sharing additional information.
