Top North Las Vegas, NV Back-To-School Giveaways With No Purchase Necessary: Safe Entry Guide

Free North Las Vegas backpack pickups required in-person students, with dates, limits and safe-entry checks explained.

The top no-purchase-necessary back-to-school giveaways serving North Las Vegas students were free backpack distributions with no entry fee and no purchase. Students received supplies in person, first-come first-served while supplies lasted. No purchase necessary means you do not have to buy anything to take part.

These programs gave school supplies directly to children who attended, which is different from a sweepstakes chance to win.

What North Las Vegas families could get

Lerner and Rowe Gives Back listed 750 free backpacks filled with school supplies for July 15, 2026 at 4 p.m. at Mojave High School, 5302 Goldfield St. Students had to be present, and distribution was first-come first-served, according to the program update from Lerner and Rowe Gives Back.

The same program provided 6,250 backpacks for 2026-2027 across seven cities including North Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Yuma, Tucson and Portage. Backpacks were only for school-aged children attending in person.

How pickup worked on site

The North Las Vegas listing described free indoor distribution plus snacks, activities and swag while supplies lasted. Attendees were asked to remain in vehicles until the start time for safety, as reported in the event announcement shared through MarketersMEDIA. The City of North Las Vegas and more than 30 partners also gave away more than 1,100 free backpacks plus supplies to children at its Back to School Giveaway at the Neighborhood Recreation Center.

A Clark County Back to School Fair on Aug. 9, 2025 at Desert Breeze Community Center offered free supplies, backpacks, vaccines, health screenings and haircuts while supplies lasted, with pre-registration required and students required to be present.

What entry did and did not require

These school giveaways did not charge an entry fee or require a purchase. The main limits were location, date, age and presence: school-aged child, present at the stated site, during stated hours, until stock ran out. That pattern matches wider prize guidance.

A legitimate prize promotion should not require any purchase or payment of money to participate or win, according to the consumer alert from the D.C. Office of the Attorney General.

How to enter safely

Use the sponsor or city notice to check address, start time, age range and whether pre-registration is needed. Bring the student when the listing says students must be present. Arrive early for first-come events and follow on-site safety directions.

Watch for warning signs before you share personal details or pay anything:

  • A notice asks for payment, wire transfer, gift cards or a fee to claim supplies or winnings.
  • Entry moves off the sponsor or government page to a form asking for bank details.
  • A message pressures you to act fast to keep a prize.
  • Contact information is missing or does not match the named sponsor or agency.

Where to report a suspicious prize message

Save the message, flyer link, phone number and any payment request. Do not pay, do not send gift-card codes and do not share bank logins. Suspected prize scams should be reported to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and to state consumer protection, with mailed offers to the Postal Inspection Service, as explained in the FTC consumer guidance on fake prizes.
