Top Honolulu, HI Back-To-School Giveaways With No Purchase Necessary: Safe Entry Guide

Compare three Hawaiʻi-eligible giveaways by deadline, entry cost, account limits, prize type, and safety checks.

Honolulu does not currently have three verified, locally sponsored back-to-school giveaways with no purchase necessary. The documented choices are three national promotions open to Hawaiʻi residents: Fetch, Cricut, and Ibotta. Each offers a chance to win, not a guaranteed freebie.

Entry may also require an app account or postage, so "no purchase necessary" does not always mean completely cost-free.

Verification note: Program terms and availability can change. This page was checked against linked sources on August 20, 2026.

Fetch Back to School Sweepstakes

Fetch accepts U.S. residents age 18 or older through August 24, 2026. It offers three 1,000,000-point prizes and ten 100,000-point prizes, with odds depending on the number of eligible entries, according to the Fetch official rules.

The no-purchase method requires a hand-addressed, postage-paid postcard. Winners also need a valid Fetch mobile-app account to redeem points. Honolulu entrants should allow for mailing time and confirm every required postcard detail before sending it.

Cricut Back-to-School Sweepstakes

Cricut's promotion runs through August 31, 2026, for U.S. residents age 18 or older, including Hawaiʻi. Ten winners receive $100 Cricut shop credits, and the limit is one entry per person, according to the Cricut sweepstakes page.

The standard entry requires completing a cut in Cricut Design Space. A write-in alternative avoids that requirement, but entrants must supply postage and meet the stated postmark deadline. The prize is store credit, so this option makes the most sense for someone who expects to use Cricut products.

Ibotta Back to Savings Giveaway

Ibotta's giveaway is open to legal residents of all 50 states who are at least 18. Entrants can add the giveaway offer in the app without buying anything through September 30, 2026, for a chance at one $25,000 prize, according to Ibotta's promotion page. This is the only documented choice here without a mail-in step.

It still requires app access, and only one prize is available. A larger advertised prize does not establish better odds.

Which entry method fits you?

Choose based on entry effort and prize usefulness, not the headline amount: Check the deadline, residency language, account requirement, prize form, and entry limit before sharing personal information. Do not assume that every national promotion automatically includes Hawaiʻi.

  • Fetch offers 13 advertised prizes, but its free entry route costs postage and points require a Fetch account.
  • Cricut limits entry to one per person and awards shop credit rather than cash.
  • Ibotta uses an in-app, no-purchase offer but has only one advertised winner.
  • All three require entrants to be at least 18 and provide only a chance to win.

How to enter more safely

Start from the sponsor's known website or app instead of an unsolicited prize link. Hawaiʻi's Office of Consumer Protection advises residents to avoid links in unexpected prize texts, verify offers through a known website or phone number, and never provide financial information, as explained in its smishing guidance. Save the rules and confirmation screen when possible.

If a "winner" message asks for payment, banking details, gift cards, or urgent action, stop and independently contact the sponsor through its published website.
