What no purchase necessary really means
A sweepstakes entry gives you a chance to win by chance. A membership perk may give a defined item after you meet account or redemption terms. Read which type you are entering before you share personal information.
McDonald's USA states in its 2026 Monopoly rules that no purchase is necessary to play or win, for the October 6 to November 1, 2026 game at participating United States restaurants see the Monopoly game rules. That date window matters in Baton Rouge because entries after closing are not valid. Location matters too, because only participating restaurants honor play and prize claims.
How to enter Monopoly free before November 1?
The same McDonald's USA rules require the McDonald's app, MyMcDonald's Rewards opt-in, game registration, and a Game Code scan or entry to play and claim prizes. The rules also provide a free alternate entry method under Rule 4.A.(2) to obtain a Game Piece without purchase, while supplies last, with eligibility and arbitration terms. Use these checks at a Baton Rouge location: A Game Piece is limited by supply and eligibility.
A prize claim also follows the arbitration terms stated in the rules.
- Confirm the restaurant participates before you try to play.
- Register for Rewards and the game with your own account.
- Use the free alternate entry method if you do not buy anything.
- Save the Game Code and follow the claim steps before November 1.
