Check eligibility, hidden costs, ticket limits, and payment warning signs before entering Baltimore giveaways.

There is no objectively verifiable ranked list of "top" Baltimore ticket giveaways. The currently verified named option is the Baltimore Orioles' no-purchase sweepstakes, open through August 31, 2026. A no-purchase ticket sweepstakes is a chance-based promotion that accepts free entries.

The Federal Trade Commission says legitimate sweepstakes are free to enter, and a purchase cannot improve your odds of winning.

What does the Orioles winner receive?

One winner receives two tickets to a 2026 Orioles home game at Camden Yards. The sponsor chooses the game and seats, and the stated approximate retail value is $150, according to the Baltimore Orioles sweepstakes rules. The drawing is expected around September 7.

Winning is not assured because the odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Who can enter, and how?

The promotion accepts U.S. residents, including residents of U.S. territories, and Canadian residents outside Quebec.

Entrants must be at least 18 or have reached the age of majority where they live. Orioles and MLB personnel cannot enter. Their immediate family and household members are also excluded.

To submit a valid entry: Additional entries may not increase your chances when the rules impose a strict limit. Start with the current Orioles ticket sweepstakes entry page.

  • Use the online entry page.
  • Enter by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on August 31.
  • Submit only one entry per person, email address, and household.
  • Review the form and rules before sending your information.

What could a "free" prize still cost?

"No purchase necessary" means you do not have to buy something to enter. It does not mean every part of attending the game will be free. The Orioles prize excludes transportation, parking, lodging, meals, taxes, and other expenses.

Standard mobile-message charges may also apply if you choose text communications. Before entering, estimate what attending would cost from your location. A two-ticket prize may offer limited value if travel, overnight lodging, or parking exceeds your budget.

What limitations should you check?

The selected game may be canceled, postponed, or changed. The tickets cannot be resold, and both the winner and guest must follow applicable ballpark health and safety policies. Also confirm that you can attend a sponsor-selected game rather than assuming you may choose any date or seat.

If you cannot use the assigned tickets, the resale restriction may leave no practical way to recover their value. Baltimore Public Media also maintains standing rules for WYPR and WTMD ticket promotions. Its general contest and giveaway rules typically require entrants to be 18 or older, limit entries by person or household, and exclude staff, household members, and some recent winners.

Those standing rules are not proof of a current ticket offer, so check each event's separately announced restrictions.

How can you enter and respond safely?

Enter through a sponsor's published page and keep a copy of the rules. If someone later claims you won, compare the message with the stated sponsor, prize, entry period, and notification process. Treat these requests as warning signs: The FTC's prize-call warning advises finding the sponsor's contact information independently and reporting suspected fraud.

Do not use a phone number or link supplied only by the unexpected caller or message.

  • Payment for taxes, shipping, or processing before receiving the prize
  • Bank account or payment-card details
  • Gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency
  • Pressure to act before you independently verify the sender
