Enter Alaska-open gift-card drawings with no purchase, refuse gift-card fees, and report fakes to Anchorage authorities.
Anchorage residents can enter national no-purchase-necessary gift-card drawings that include Alaska, including Walmart's August-October entry and Modelo's 2026 soccer entry. No live Anchorage-only gift-card giveaway was verified for October 2026, so current entry rests on those national offers. No purchase necessary means you may enter without buying anything.
It does not mean free merchandise, and it offers a chance to win rather than a certain benefit.

Which Alaska-open entries include gift cards?

Ticket prizes are awarded as $400 gift cards, while gear prizes are awarded as $500 sponsor-specified gift cards.
According to Walmart Corporate, its 2026 Q3 August-October entry needs no purchase and allows entry when located in the 50 states, D.C. or Puerto Rico, which covers Anchorage Walmart's 2026 Q3 sweepstakes rules. Check location, age, and date limits on the sponsor page before entering.
- Confirm Alaska is included before sharing contact details.
- Confirm age 21 or older for the Modelo soccer entry.
- Confirm the entry window is still open.
Why is there no live Anchorage-only gift-card list?
The recent Anchorage-only gift-card packages found are expired. Comparison of the 2025 Anchorage dates with the 2026 national pages leaves Alaska-open national offers as the verified current path. According to Visit Anchorage, its Wild for Winter entry required no purchase and was limited to Alaska residents age 18 or older.
It ran Nov. 3-19, 2025, with prizes including a $1,250 Alyeska gift card plus outfitter, dining, and activity gift cards. Do not treat that closed entry as current.
How do you enter without paying to claim?
A legitimate entry lets you participate without purchase. Keep purchase, payment, and prize release separate in every message you receive. According to the Federal Trade Commission, impostors pressure people to pay with gift cards or share card numbers and PINs, while gift cards are for gifts and never valid payment to release winnings FTC guidance on fake prize messages.
Walk away from any message that demands payment to enter, improve odds, or unlock delivery.
- No fee to enter or increase odds.
- No gift-card payment, card number, or PIN to release winnings.
- No prepaid tax, shipping, or handling charge for a prize.
