Teacher Discount Days at Office Supply Stores in December
Verified teachers can get 20% off one Office Depot purchase plus Rewards, with Staples December use needing a new coupon.
Teacher Discount Days at office supply stores in December are teacher-only savings tied to ID checks and store accounts, not public sale days. Office Depot links its classroom savings to ID.me checks and Rewards, while Staples lists its Teacher Appreciation Days as ended. December shoppers can still use everyday teacher programs if they verify early and meet store limits.
Date ranges, in-store rules, and ID needs shape what works at checkout.

What Office Depot gives verified teachers
Office Depot says verified teachers can get 20% off one qualifying purchase after ID.me checks. Verification uses a teaching license or other papers, and the coupon email often follows within 24 to 48 hours, as described on its teacher discounts page. The coupon is for one purchase, not ongoing checkout savings.
Office Depot Business outlines everyday Star Teacher savings for educators. Members get 10% back in Rewards on ink, toner and paper, and 1% back on nearly everything else. The program also cuts 15% off Design, Print and Ship Depot services, listed on its school programs page.
How to time verification for December shopping
December checkout lines are a poor place to start ID checks. Start verification at home before making a classroom list. Use this order to avoid a missed purchase.
It keeps papers, accounts, and timing aligned before a store visit.
- Confirm teacher papers and ID.me access.
- Confirm Rewards details for classroom buys.
- Allow email time before the store trip.
What Staples has for teachers now
Staples says its Teacher Appreciation Days and Sweepstakes have ended, noted on its Teacher Appreciation page. That wording means shoppers should not plan around a standing December Teacher Day there. Staples lists a current teacher deal of 20% off an in-store purchase with teacher ID and app coupon.
The listing shows dates of 6/14/26 through 9/19/26, in-store only with exclusions, on its teacher discount page. December use would need a separate holiday coupon.
How to plan a December store trip
Treat Office Depot and Staples trips differently in December. One ties savings to advance verification, the other ties savings to date-bound coupons. Bring teacher ID, Rewards number where needed, and any coupon on a phone or printout.
Ask staff which items count as qualifying before loading a cart. Check coupon dates and exclusion signs before checkout to keep classroom costs clear.
