Tacoma, WA Grocery Giveaways Near Me: Where to Find Legit Deals
Find Tacoma free pantry hours, weekly visit limits and store perks that lower grocery costs.
If you live near Tacoma, Washington, legit grocery help comes from neighborhood food-bank distributions and store loyalty programs. Food banks provide take-home groceries, while Safeway offers ongoing discounts plus a separate chance-to-win promotion. Food-bank groceries mean free food to take home.
Store perks mean lower prices or points, not free bags at checkout. Sweepstakes entry means a chance to win, not a promised payout.

How store loyalty discounts work
Safeway explains in its forU program details that its free forU loyalty program offers weekly personalized grocery deals. Members earn points for gas and grocery discounts. The program also includes an annual birthday treat and a free item every month.
Use applies at Washington Safeway stores including Tacoma. You need a forU account to receive the personalized prices and points. The monthly free item and birthday treat follow program terms.
What is the Shop and Score sweepstakes
Safeway states in the Shop and Score rules the promotion is open only to Washington residents age 18 or older. Entrants must be Safeway for U members shopping at listed participating stores. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
That makes entry different from a food-bank visit. A pantry visit provides groceries to take home. This promotion provides a chance to win, with eligibility tied to age, residence, membership and store list.
Read the rules PDF for participating stores before entering.
