Read the reward details, not just "Expires today"
Open the reward in the restaurant's app or account and look for its stated expiration date, time, participating locations, ordering method, and exclusions. A reward labeled "expires today" does not, by itself, tell you that pickup must occur by midnight. Restaurant programs set their own rules.

Find out what counts as redemption
Look for language such as "place and complete an order," "add to order," "scan," "redeem by," or "valid through." That language is more useful than guessing from the pickup time shown after checkout. Chick-fil-A says an eligible offer is redeemed by placing and completing a mobile-app order or scanning its QR code during the stated redemption period. Its rules do not separately establish a universal pickup-by-midnight requirement.
Don't assume the restaurant is open until midnight
Even when an offer remains valid that day, the location's operating hours can still end your opportunity to use it. Be careful when selecting or changing a reward
Some apps require you to choose the reward during ordering. - Add the reward before submitting the order and make sure the discount appears.
- Save the order confirmation and pickup details.
- Avoid cancelling near expiration unless the program explains what happens afterward.
Cancellation can create a new deadline problem
Do not assume cancellation restores the underlying points or extends the reward. McDonald's says that when a U.S. mobile order is cancelled, an applied reward returns to the "Ready to redeem" dashboard immediately, where it can still expire at its existing deadline.
