Compare Omaha's 2026 grocery drawing, free essentials, sports items, and raffle rules before making the trip.
As of August 13, 2026, Omaha has no single documented citywide list of product giveaways. Current opportunities come from separate retailers, nonprofits, sports promotions, and local events. Here, "product giveaway" includes physical goods, store value, or essentials offered without charge.
Some opportunities select winners randomly, while others distribute supplies directly under eligibility or availability limits.
Grocery gift-card drawings at Hy-Vee
Hy-Vee's Omaha #4 store at 10808 Fort St. is holding four weekly drawings through September 5. The promotion offers up to four $250 Hy-Vee gift cards, according to the Hy-Vee official rules.
Nebraska residents age 18 or older can enter free using a paper slip at customer service. The limit is one entry per weekly period and four entries overall. Winners are chosen randomly, so entry does not ensure a prize.
A selected winner must visit the store and claim the gift card within five days. Because eligibility covers Nebraska, the drawings are not restricted to Omaha residents.
Free diapers and food without a drawing
Heart Ministry Center holds Omaha Diaper Day on the third Monday of each month at 2221 Wirt St. Diapers are available for children under three, but sizes and quantities are limited. A parent or guardian must provide proof of the child's age, as described on the Nebraska Total Care event page.
All People's Pantry will distribute free food on August 22 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at 4444 Frances St. Everyone is welcome, with no ID or advance registration required, according to the organization.
This food distribution is first-come, first-served, and the pantry reports high demand. Arriving during the listed window does not mean every requested item will remain available.
Sports merchandise and a resource-fair raffle
The Omaha Storm Chasers list a Noah Cameron bobblehead giveaway for August 22 and LED fans for September 18. These promotions take place at Werner Park in Papillion, making them Omaha-metro opportunities rather than Omaha-city events, according to the team's 2026 promotional schedule. Freedomtainment's free Level Up Job, Housing & Resource Fair is scheduled for September 5 at Gene Leahy Mall.
Its raffle may include appliances, laptops, and bikes, according to the event information. Raffle participants must be at least 18, show valid ID, enter only once per household, and be present to win. Those conditions make it less flexible than a drawing that permits later notification or remote prize collection.
Check the giveaway format before traveling
Each listing uses a different participation model. A quick review can prevent a wasted trip: Dates also separate current opportunities from old announcements. Nebraska Monarchs scheduled its 2026 native-plant giveaway for May 16, offering 275 household gardens and 50 shared-space gardens.
That date has passed and should not be treated as an August pickup opportunity.
