Eligible Bank of America and Merrill cardholders can plan one free general-admission museum visit October 3–4, 2026.
Museums on Us offers eligible Bank of America, Merrill, and Bank of America Private Bank cardholders one free general-admission visit on October 3–4, 2026, at participating U.S. cultural institutions. Bank of America's current partner roster lists that weekend as the next eligible Museums on Us date.

Who can use the October benefit?
Eligible participants are holders of Bank of America, Merrill, or Bank of America Private Bank credit or debit cards. The benefit is for one free general-admission entry per eligible cardholder. Bank of America's current program terms Bring both items required for admission: The card and ID requirement matters because the benefit is tied to the person using it.
A cardholder should plan to present both at the participating institution rather than assuming a digital account view will substitute.
- An active eligible card
- A valid government-issued photo ID: a passport booklet, state ID, or driver license
Can you bring a guest for free?
No. The free admission is limited to the eligible cardholder, not the cardholder plus a guest. Merrill's benefit guide describes the offer as "cardholders only," so accompanying visitors should expect to pay their own admission unless they have an eligible card themselves.
Merrill's current benefits guide For example, two eligible cardholders visiting together may each seek their own free general admission if each presents a qualifying card and ID. A cardholder bringing a friend or family member who does not independently qualify should budget for that person's ticket.
What does free admission cover?
The offer covers general admission only. It does not include special or ticketed exhibitions, enhanced experiences, extra offerings, or fundraising events; those may require separate payment even when the museum itself participates. A museum visit can still be low-cost, but a popular temporary exhibit, film, tour, or event may sit outside the free-admission benefit.
