Truck or Groceries Sweepstakes Chance
Tom Thumb and Albertsons local store pages for Irving advertise a tailgate sweepstakes. The prizes are a new Chevrolet truck or Free Groceries for a Year. Entries are due by February 2, 2027, with no purchase necessary for legal residents age 18 and older.
According to Albertsons Companies via the rules site, the sweepstakes is limited to shoppers at participating stores listed in Exhibit A. Full eligibility and the no-purchase entry method are posted there. This is a chance to win, not free food at the register.
Same-Day Food Distribution in Irving
According to the North Texas Food Bank's announcement, the Food Bank, Dallas College, and UNIQLO scheduled a public drive-through distribution on October 28, 2026. It runs 10 a.m. to noon at Dallas College Northlake, 5001 N.
MacArthur Blvd., Irving. It was planned for about 500 families. Each family was to receive about 60 pounds of nutritious food plus HEATTECH thermal clothing from UNIQLO.

The City of Irving's Community Resources List dated August 5, 2025, lists Irving Cares as its food and emergency-assistance provider at that address. Hours are Monday 9 a.m. to noon and Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m.

Expired Deal to Skip
According to The Kroger Co. Investor Relations, Kroger's 100,000-free-pint ice cream coupon was downloadable only on June 19, 2026. It was redeemable that week.
That short window shows why date limits matter for national freebies. A June download date does not help an Irving search in late October.
