How to Use Airport Apps for Free Holiday Perks

Use airport and airline apps to turn parking and shopping into points plus free Wi-Fi this holiday.
Download the airport or airline app for your trip, join its free loyalty program, and log in before you park, shop or board. The app then tracks eligible activity and unlocks points, discounts or free Wi-Fi for holiday travel. Airport loyalty here means a free account inside an airport or airline app that records travel spending.
Coverage varies by airport, airline and aircraft, so match the app to your itinerary.

Turn Terminal Spending Into Points
Auckland Airport says its free Strata Club runs in the Auckland Airport app and awards points for shopping, dining, parking and lounge bookings. Points convert to eVouchers, and members receive extended free Wi-Fi up to 3 hours or 2GB daily Auckland Airport Strata Club page. DFW International Airport reports that myDFW Rewards requires a myDFW account in the DFW Airport mobile app.
Points come only from prebooked parking and apply toward future parking. Aena reports its free Aena Club covers parking, VIP services, shops and restaurants across Aena airports. Members receive parking and VIP benefits, member discounts, mobile and plate payment, unlimited Premium Wi-Fi and app-only benefits through the Aena app Aena Club information.
- Download the app for each airport on your itinerary
- Create the free account and stay logged in
- Book parking through the app where points require prebooking
- Scan or pay through the app for shops, dining and VIP services
Avoid Holiday Packing Delays at Security
TSA reports its free MyTSA app includes a What Can I Bring search for holiday items. It shows whether an item belongs in carry-on, checked baggage or neither. The same app provides checkpoint wait-time estimates.
Check estimates before leaving during peak holiday periods, and repack flagged items before you reach the line.
Connect Free During the Flight
American Airlines reports free high-speed inflight Wi-Fi exclusively for free AAdvantage members, sponsored by AT&T. The service uses Viasat- and Intelsat-equipped aircraft, covering about 90% of its fleet and more than 2 million flights yearly beginning January 2026 American Airlines announcement. Delta reports its Delta Sync Wi-Fi, presented by T-Mobile, gives free fast connectivity to free SkyMiles members on more than 1,200 aircraft.
Members log in with a SkyMiles account for messaging, browsing and streaming Delta announcement. Alaska Airlines reports free Starlink-powered inflight Wi-Fi for free Atmos Rewards members on Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines through a T-Mobile partnership. Access runs through a new onboard portal after about 150 aircraft, including the full regional fleet, were equipped.
Check Limits Before You Count on a Perk
A free account does not make travel free. Parking, food, lounge and VIP purchases still cost money, while points, discounts and Wi-Fi lower later costs. Benefits stay tied to place and equipment.
Auckland Wi-Fi stops at 3 hours or 2GB daily, DFW points work only on prebooked parking for future parking, and inflight Wi-Fi works only on equipped aircraft after login. Download apps on home Wi-Fi, create accounts early, and log in before parking or boarding. Save parking reservations and eVoucher codes where airport signal is weak.
