Start with the sponsor's rules page, not the social post. Look for headings such as alternate entry, other entry method, or no purchase necessary. The Federal Trade Commission advises that real sweepstakes are free and chance-based, and payment or purchase cannot be required to enter or improve odds FTC guidance on prize promotions.
