How to Enter Beauty Giveaways in Bakersfield, California Without Scams
Compare Bakersfield birthday freebies, purchase rules, and prize-payment red flags before sharing personal information.
To enter beauty giveaways in Bakersfield without falling for prize scams, use sponsor-run entry pages and read the official rules before sharing information. Never pay to enter or claim a prize, and reject requests for bank, card, or Social Security details. Current evidence does not verify a Bakersfield-only list of beauty sweepstakes.
It does confirm two locally redeemable birthday freebies from Ulta Beauty and Sephora, which are member benefits rather than chance-based giveaways.

Check the rules before entering
A sweepstakes offers a chance to win, while a birthday freebie is available to eligible members while supplies last. Do not treat a social-media post as sufficient proof that either offer is current. Find the sponsor's page and rules, then check: California law requires sweepstakes materials to state clearly that no purchase or payment is necessary.
It also prohibits disadvantaging free entries or telling someone they won when they did not, according to California Business and Professions Code §17539.15.

Ulta's Bakersfield birthday gift
Eligible Ulta Rewards members can redeem a birthday gift at the Ulta Beauty in Bakersfield Marketplace, 9000 Ming Avenue. In-store redemption requires the birthday coupon from the member's email or app but no merchandise purchase; availability is limited. Members must add their birthday before their birthday month and have a valid email address or app to receive the offer.
Online and pickup redemption require a qualifying merchandise purchase, according to the Ulta Rewards terms and Bakersfield store page.
Sephora's local birthday option
Beauty Insider members may collect one birthday gift during their birthday month at a Sephora store or Sephora at Kohl's without an in-store purchase. Sephora's locator confirms a Sephora at Kohl's in Bakersfield SW. Online birthday-gift redemption requires a $25 merchandise purchase.
Gifts are available only while supplies last, so shoppers seeking a no-purchase option should use the store route and review the Beauty Insider terms before visiting.
Recognize an unsafe prize notice
The Federal Trade Commission says a prize notice is a scam when it demands payment for taxes, shipping, processing, or improved odds. Requests for bank, card, or Social Security information to claim a prize are also warning signs under the FTC's prize and sweepstakes guidance. Pause if a message: For the two documented Bakersfield birthday offers, use the retailer's account, email, app, terms, and store locator—not a link supplied by an unrelated prize message.
- Requires payment before releasing a prize
- Sells supposedly better chances of winning
- Requests financial-account or Social Security information
- Lacks accessible sponsor rules
- Claims you won a promotion you do not remember entering
