How Many Entries Can You Submit to One Sweepstakes?

Learn how single-entry and daily-entry limits work so every submission counts and none gets voided.

You can submit only as many entries as the Official Rules for that specific sweepstakes allow. A sweepstakes, a free prize drawing where winners are picked by chance, may allow one total entry or repeat entries on a set schedule. Each sponsor writes its own entry limit.

You must check that limit before you enter, because extra entries do not help and can void your valid entry.

Check the Official Rules first

There is no universal entry number. Each sponsor sets its own limit in its Official Rules, so one sweepstakes may allow one total entry while another allows daily entries, as explained in the Reckitt/Finish current rules. Reckitt/Finish states the rule plainly for its own promotion.

Look for headings such as entry limit, entry period, and eligibility. Those lines control how often you may enter. The limit also controls how winners are selected.

If the rules say one entry per person, submitting once gives you your one chance to win.

What does one entry per person mean?

One entry per person usually means one entry for the whole promotion. It applies regardless of entry method, and attempts with different emails or identities can be voided. Hachette Book Group uses this type of limit for its Facebook sweepstakes.

The Hachette Book Group rules allow one entry per person and Facebook ID, plus one prize per person, ID, and email address, with multiple entries voided, according to the Hachette official rules. In practice, do not enter again with a second email. Do not ask another person to enter for you.

One careful entry keeps you eligible.

How do daily entries work?

A daily sweepstakes lets you return on more than one day. The rules define what counts as a day and how many times you may enter within it. Warner Bros.

Discovery/HGTV allows one entry per eligible person, per website, per day for HGTV Dream Home 2026. A day runs from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

ET, and only the first daily entry per website counts, under the HGTV Dream Home rules. That structure means timing matters. Enter once per website each calendar day in Eastern Time.

An entry submitted just after midnight counts toward the new day.

Can you pay for more entries?

No. Legitimate U.S. sweepstakes must be free and chance-based.

Federal law bars requiring payment or purchase to enter or to improve odds. The Federal Trade Commission explains that buying more does not buy more valid entries in a real sweepstakes, as described in FTC consumer guidance on prize scams. Use only the entry methods listed in the rules.

Keep one account, one email address, and one identity for that promotion. If the rules allow no purchase entry by mail, follow the mail instructions exactly.
