St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is raffling a new 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home in Lexington's Home Place neighborhood valued at $525,000. Tickets cost $100 each, and all proceeds benefit the hospital's research and patient care programs.
The home features approximately 1,900 square feet and represents a complete prize package for one winner. Ticket availability is not limited by a fixed cap, so entry remains open as long as St. Jude's event runs.
Downtown Shop Small Sweepstakes – December Deadline
Downtown Lexington's Shop Small Sweepstakes, organized by Main Street Lexington, runs through December 2026 across 32 participating local businesses. To enter, customers make a minimum $10 purchase at any participating store and receive an entry sticker and card to submit by December 20. The drawing takes place January 6, 2027, with multiple shopping spree prizes for winners.
The program ties promotion to downtown revitalization and keeps entered funds within the local economy.
Holiday Events and Activities
Beyond giveaways, Lexington has seasonal attractions and free community events. Southern Lights at Kentucky Horse Park operates nightly from November 27 through December 31, 2026 (closed Christmas), from 5:30 to 10:00 pm, featuring over one million holiday lights, Santa photos, Animal Land, and model trains. Entry is $35 per carload for this 33rd-year tradition.
The City of Lexington Youth Holiday Celebration offers free games, crafts, bingo, and holiday treats on December 16 at William Wells Brown Community Center (548 E. Sixth St.), welcoming youth participants at no cost.
Important Dates and Entry Requirements
December 20, 2026 is the final deadline for Shop Small sweepstakes entries. The Shop Small winner drawing follows on January 6, 2027. Both main giveaways require payment to enter, so neither qualifies as "no purchase necessary." St.
Jude's ongoing raffle does not publish an end date, but sweepstakes of this type typically run year-round or until inventory depletes. Verify current ticket availability by checking the St. Jude URL directly, as raffle end dates may change.
