Hanukkah Giveaways: How to Find Them From Jewish Organizations

Find free menorah kits, kids' books, local events, and $200-$600 host cards with limits explained.

You find Hanukkah giveaways from Jewish organizations on local Chabad center pages, PJ Library's enrollment finder, and OneTable's host listings. Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish Festival of Lights, brings free events, menorah kits, children's books, and host gift cards this season. These are free benefits, not drawings.

Each has date, age, or location limits. RSVP early because food counts and gift-card spots are limited.

Where are free public events listed?

Chabad of Richmond lists four free public events for Dec. 6-11, 2026 on its 2026 Chanukah schedule. The lineup includes a waterfront menorah lighting, game night, adult party, and Shabbat dinner.

The same schedule says Chanukah 2026 runs from the evening of Friday, Dec. 4 to nightfall Saturday, Dec. 12.

Every event is free and everyone is welcome. Attendees are asked to RSVP for food planning. Check your own local Chabad center page for the same type of listing.

Can you get a free menorah delivered?

Lubavitch Chabad of Skokie offers a free menorah kit with home delivery by a volunteer, described on its free menorah request page. The kit includes a menorah, candles, and step-by-step lighting instructions and blessings. Donations are appreciated but not required.

Delivery is limited to Skokie ZIP codes 60076, 60077, and 60203. Out-of-area requests are ignored and redirected to the requester's local Chabad center. If you live outside those ZIPs, contact your nearest Chabad center instead.

Who gets free monthly books for kids?

PJ Library mails each enrolled child a free, high-quality, age-appropriate Jewish book or CD every month, according to its community enrollment page. The program serves children ages 6 months through 8 years in households with Judaism as part of their lives. Each child gets their own monthly title.

Enrollment is by community finder, so enter your ZIP code to check availability. Enroll each eligible child separately. Plan ahead because Hanukkah titles arrive on the monthly mailing cycle.

How do Hanukkah host gift cards work?

OneTable and NuRoots offer Double Nourishment gift-card support to hosts who post a Hanukkah Shabbat dinner for Friday, Dec. 19, as explained on its Infinite Light partner page. Private dinners can receive up to $200.

Public dinners can receive up to $600 through Nourishment+. Nourishment means gift cards to grocery stores and local restaurants that offset hosting costs. Support is first-come on a limited-spots basis.

Post your dinner early and follow the host listing steps to request funds.
