Free Trials for Streaming Live Ice Skating Shows

Time a live-TV trial to a Grand Prix weekend to watch NBC skating coverage free before paying.

You can watch live ice skating competitions free through short trials of live-TV services that carry NBC skating coverage. Peacock, which streams the full competitions live, does not offer a free trial for its base plans. Live ice skating shows here means televised figure skating competitions, such as the Grand Prix series and U.S.

and World championships. Timing a trial to a competition weekend is the practical way to watch without paying for a month.

Where is live skating streaming this season?

U.S. Figure Skating says its 2026-27 season with NBC Sports includes more than 300 hours of live coverage from October to March. Peacock streams the entirety of each competition live, including every skater in every discipline.

NBC Sports says its television and Peacock coverage runs from the October Grand Prix series through the Prevagen U.S. Championships in January to the World Championships in March. For Grand Prix China, live competition started Nov.

6 at 1:45 a.m. ET on Peacock.

Can you get Peacock free?

No free trial is available for Peacock Select, Premium, or Premium Plus. Peacock Help states that its only listed 7-day trial applies to the $11.99 per month STARZ add-on for direct-billed subscribers, described in the STARZ add-on help article. That add-on trial does not substitute for a base-plan trial.

If skating is on Peacock, you need a paid base plan or access through another service.

Which trials include live skating?

YouTube TV and Fubo are the practical trial options when they carry NBC in your area. Both are live-TV services, so NBC skating coverage is included when NBC is part of your chosen plan. Google YouTube TV Help explains that new subscribers who never had a trial receive all channels in their chosen plan during the trial, with length shown in Settings and Membership, explained in the YouTube TV trial help page.

Fubo Help Center says some plans include a free trial for new customers, with length shown at checkout and no charge if cancelled before expiry, explained in the Fubo trial help article.

  • Check that NBC is in your plan and ZIP code before starting.
  • Note the trial length shown at signup or checkout.
  • Add a card only where required, set a cancel reminder, and cancel before expiry to avoid conversion to a paid plan.

Is there free skating without a trial?

Yes, for junior-level events. The International Skating Union says viewers outside SBS Korea, TV Asahi Japan, and OKKO TV can watch all programs from the 2026-27 Junior Grand Prix series live free on the ISU YouTube Channel, listed in the ISU viewing guide. That stream does not cover senior Grand Prix, U.S.

Championships, or Worlds. For those senior events, check the NBC schedule first, then start a YouTube TV or Fubo trial close to the competition start time.
