Free Pet Stockings: Which Stores Give Them Away?
Learn which Dallas shop provides a free pet stocking and how chain holiday offers differ before you visit.
Odyssey Pets in Dallas advertises a free store-provided stocking at its December 14 Stocking Stuffer Event. No national chain in this evidence offers a free holiday stocking as a standing benefit. A pet stocking means a small holiday stocking filled with treats and toys for a dog, cat, or other pet.
The verified free offers are local, seasonal, and tied to a specific store event.

What does Odyssey Pets offer?
According to Odyssey Pets, shoppers get 20% off treats and toys that fit in a free stocking provided by the store at the December 14 event. The discount applies to items that fit inside that stocking. See Odyssey Pets' Stocking Stuffer Event page for the date and format.
The offer is store-specific. It centers on the Dallas shop and its December event. Confirm the current event date, location, and RSVP before visiting.
What did Pet Supermarket hand out?
Pet Supermarket held a chainwide Pet sELFie event on December 5, 2020, from 12 to 3 p.m. Elves handed out free stocking stuffers for pets while supplies lasted. The stores also took free holiday photos.
That event was seasonal and supply-limited. It shows how chain giveaways work when they appear. See Pet Insight's report on the 2020 Pet sELFie event for the schedule and details.
Do Chewy or PetSmart give free stockings?
Chewy did not offer a free stocking. Its 2025 Chewy Claus Sweepstakes required entry at chewy.com/chewyclaus during November 3 to December 24, 2025, for a chance at pet holiday goodie boxes. A chance to win is different from a free item.
PetSmart's Treats Rewards program also does not promise a free holiday stocking. According to PetSmart, the free loyalty program earns points on purchases and offers birthday and Gotcha Day gifts. See PetSmart's Treats Rewards explanation and 2025 Chewy Claus Sweepstakes rules for the current terms.
How do you get the free stocking without a wasted trip?

- Confirm the December 14 date is still scheduled this year.
- Confirm the Dallas location and event hours.
- Ask whether RSVP is needed and how long supplies last.
- Ask which treats and toys qualify for the 20% fill discount.
