Free New Year's Day Brunch Deals: What to Expect
See which January 1 brunch bites can be free, plus date and account limits to check before you go.
Expect almost no fully free New Year's Day brunches for the general public. Most January 1 brunches are paid seatings, with free items limited to narrow cases such as a birthday reward. A New Year's Day brunch here means a sit-down late-morning meal served on January 1.
Plan for a paid check unless you fit one of those narrow free cases.

What is actually free on January 1?
Starbucks Coffee Company states a January 1 birthday reward covers one complimentary handcrafted beverage, food item or bottled beverage. The reward is redeemable at participating stores Rewards Terms. The account must show the birthday saved and creation at least 7 days before, plus a prior Star-earning purchase.
Multi-serve items are excluded under the same Rewards Terms.
Do places still serve brunch on New Year's Day?
Founding Farmers states all locations are open New Year's Eve and New Year's Day 2026. Some rooms serve Farmers Market Buffet Brunch while others serve a la carte brunch including chicken and waffles winter 2026 event page. That pattern points to paid seatings with different formats by room.
Pick buffet or a la carte before you go, then confirm the format with your stop.
Why does setup matter before the day?
A January 1 birthday leaves no slack for account fixes on the day. Details entered late can block a same-day treat. Use a short check in December to keep the reward usable.
Confirm these points in your account:
- Check the store's holiday hours
- Plan transport for morning crowds
- Keep the account login handy
Can gift-card bonuses cover January 1?
Miru Restaurant states a Free $25 Holiday Bonus comes with every $100 in gift cards purchased through December 30, 2026. The bonus is valid January 2 to April 15, not January 1, and not for pickup or delivery ordered through Lettuce websites or app 2026 holiday bonus terms. Do not count on that bonus for a January 1 check.
Save it for a later winter visit.
