What is free at AMC Stubs?
AMC Theatres states on its Stubs Insider page that free Insider membership includes a large-popcorn birthday gift plus a large-popcorn refill benefit for a second helping. Use the refill during the same visit. Availability follows the terms on that page.
AMC Theatres states on its Stubs Premiere page that Premiere and A-List members receive a free large popcorn and large fountain drink offer loaded on the first day of their birthday month. The offer is tied to birthday month, not birthday day. Check the loaded offer before ordering.
AMC Entertainment described a free upgrade path in a Jan. 16, 2025 press release. Insider members who see at least 8 movies or earn 5,000 points in a calendar year move to free Premiere GO!.
That status lasts through that year plus all of next year and adds 2x points, waived fees on 4 or more tickets, a birthday popcorn-drink gift, size upgrades and priority lane.
How do Regal credits become snacks?
Regal Crown Club is free to join by theatre card registration or through the Regal app. Regal states that members earn 100 credits per $1 spent on tickets and concessions. Credits accrue from paid spending.
Regal states in its Rewards Rules that credits can be redeemed through the online Reward Center for concession items, tickets and merchandise. Popcorn, drinks, pretzels, nachos, ICEEs and tickets load automatically to the member card. Redemption happens online before pickup.
The small-popcorn reward is loaded immediately after redemption. Regal states that members must present the card at a participating theatre stand, may apply only one discount per popcorn, and must use the reward within 60 days after purchase. Unused rewards expire.
What does Cinemark include?
Cinemark states in its Movie Rewards FAQ that free Movie Fan earns 1 point per dollar for tickets, snack discounts and a birthday treat. Paid Movie Club adds a monthly rollover ticket, 20% off concessions and waived online fees. Movie Fan suits infrequent visitors, while Movie Club suits regular concession buyers.
Cinemark also offers free refills on large drinks and XL popcorn. Investor materials from Aug. 1, 2025 describe Movie Club at about $12 per month with 20% off concessions.
The practical rule is to scan at both the box office and the concession stand and claim refills same-visit.
When do you still pay?
Not every visit produces a free item. Regal lists 25% off candy on Mondays and 50% off popcorn on Tuesdays for Crown Club members. Those are discounts, so free-credit redemptions and birthday popcorn do not cover every visit.
Other limits affect timing. Regal requires a participating theatre stand for reward redemption. Cinemark refills apply to qualifying large and XL sizes during the same visit.
