Free Gift Wrapping Events for the Holidays

Bring your unwrapped gifts to two free December wrapping parties and leave with them ready to give.

Yes, free holiday gift wrapping events are available this December. They give you the paper, supplies and space, so you bring unwrapped gifts and leave with them ready to hand out. One option is the Wrap It Up!

Gift Wrapping Party in Florence, Oregon on December 3. Another is The Big Christmas Wrap Up at Pierremont Hall in Broadstairs on December 17.

Where can you wrap for free?

The Siuslaw Public Library in Florence will host Wrap It Up! on Dec. 3, 2026, from 10am to 12pm.

The session is open to anyone who wants to wrap holiday gifts in a festive setting, according to the RiverCal/Siuslaw Vision event listing. Broadstairs and St Peter's Town Council will hold The Big Christmas Wrap Up at Pierremont Hall on Dec. 17, 2026, from 4 to 6pm.

Admission is free, according to the Town Council event notice.

What do you get, and what should you bring?

In Florence, wrapping paper, wrapping supplies and snacks are supplied free. You must bring your own holiday gifts to wrap, so pack tape, tags, ribbons and any odd-shaped items you need to finish the job. The setup is self-serve and social.

You do the wrapping, but you save the cost of paper and supplies.

  • Bring gifts unwrapped and partly sorted by size
  • Bring gift tags, gift boxes and bags for fragile items
  • Leave time to wrap before the session ends
  • Keep receipts and small parts separate from wrapping scraps

Do you need to book or arrive early?

For Broadstairs, booking is recommended through [email protected]. An email lets the hosts plan space and supplies for the 4 to 6pm window. Florence does not list a booking step and invites anyone to attend.

Plan to arrive with enough time to wrap before the noon finish.

What if your gift is shipping from a store?

Barnes and Noble online charges $4.99 when you select Make it a gift at checkout, while the gift message up to 200 characters and gift receipt are free. Gift wrap excludes gift cards, eBooks and NOOK content, memberships, magazine subscriptions, SparkNotes, audiobooks and PDFs, according to the Barnes and Noble Help Center gift options guide. That makes the library and community sessions useful for store-bought items that cannot be wrapped at checkout.

Bring the delivered purchase with its box, then choose your paper and finish it in person.
