Five Guys Rewards: Does the App Give Free Food?
UK members can get free fries, member rewards and a birthday treat; US diners get promos only.
Yes, Five Guys Rewards gives free food in Britain, but not through an ongoing points plan in the United States. In Britain, members can receive a free fries sign-up treat, ongoing Member Rewards and a birthday treat, while US customers have no loyalty program for points. Five Guys Rewards in England, Scotland and Wales is a free loyalty programme, and Five Guys UK says rewards load directly to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with no app required, according to the Five Guys UK Rewards page.
In the US, Five Guys says it does not currently offer rewards or have a loyalty program, according to the Five Guys US FAQs.

What new UK members receive
New UK members receive a welcome voucher for one free Little or Regular Fries as a sign-up treat. Five Guys UK describes it as a sign-up treat on the Five Guys UK Rewards page. The voucher requires buying one main item such as a burger, hot dog or sandwich.
Kids Meals do not count toward the required purchase. It is valid in-store at the till, digital kiosk or drive-thru. It is not valid for delivery or click-and-collect, according to the Five Guys UK voucher terms.
How ongoing UK Member Rewards work
Members earn ongoing Member Rewards by scanning their Rewards QR code or pass during qualifying in-store visits. Qualifying visits generally require at least £7 paid after other vouchers are applied. Rewards are surprise-based rather than fixed points per pound.
Examples include half-price sides or buy-one-get-one burgers. Five Guys UK also sends members a special birthday reward in England, Scotland and Wales. Details appear in the Five Guys UK FAQs.
Why the US app is different
The US Five Guys app is an ordering app, not a points app. Five Guys US says it saves order history, favorite stores and meals, and payment options. Because there is no US points balance, the app does not unlock ongoing free food.
US customers order and pay through the app without earning loyalty credit. US customers can still receive occasional free food through time-limited app or website promos. Five Guys US has offered episodes such as a free Little Fry with a burger, sandwich or hot dog purchase using a promo code.
Who can use UK Rewards
UK Rewards has clear account and location limits. Membership requires age 16 or older and residence in Great Britain. Five Guys UK allows one account per person.
US visitors and children under 16 are not eligible. To use the programme in practice:
- Join with a Great Britain address and add the pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet
- Scan the Rewards QR code or pass on each qualifying in-store visit
- Buy a main item with the sign-up voucher and redeem it at the till, kiosk or drive-thru
- Watch for Member Rewards and the birthday treat on the stored pass
