How do library-linked attraction passes work?
Allegheny County library cardholders can reserve free or discounted RAD Pass tickets to regional attractions including the zoo, museums and symphony, according to RAD Pass and its RAD Pass ticket program. Availability varies by venue and date, so families should check open slots before planning a visit. Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium participates in RAD Pass and requires guests to make a reservation on radpass.org by clicking Reserve a Pass for entry.
Bring the library card linked to the reservation and photo ID if the venue asks.
- Check card eligibility through your local Allegheny County library
- Reserve a pass for the date and attraction you want
- Follow the venue arrival and redemption instructions
What museum savings help families with young kids?
The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh offers a $50 Museums for All membership covering up to four people with Pennsylvania ACCESS or SNAP EBT, according to the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and its admission discounts. The same discount program includes $5 active-duty military admission and free admission for children under age 2. The membership suits families who visit more than once per year.
The per-visit military and under-2 discounts help single-day visitors and relatives who join for one trip.
Which fall sweepstakes offer a chance to win?
Pittsburgh-based Niche runs a $1,000 School Survey Sweepstakes ending Oct. 31, 2026, according to Niche and its School Survey Sweepstakes page. The winner is chosen by random drawing and announced on its Scholarship Winners page.
Entry is a chance to win, not a guaranteed payout. The Pittsburgh Steelers LLC runs the free-to-enter Steelers Essentials Sweepstakes from Sept. 8, 2026 to Dec.
1, 2026 under published rules, according to the Pittsburgh Steelers and its Steelers Essentials Sweepstakes terms. Free-to-enter means no purchase is required, but you must still meet age, location and entry-period limits in the rules.
What game-day extras can sports families collect?
The Pittsburgh Steelers Schedule Release Sweepstakes prize package includes four tickets to a 2026-2027 primetime home game selected by the sponsor plus four pre-game field passes. The sponsor picks the game, so winners cannot swap in another date or opponent. PNC Bank and the Pittsburgh Pirates offer a free limited-edition PNC traffic-cone ice-cream holder with ice-cream purchase at select PNC Park stands on Aug.
16, Sept. 6 and Sept. 20, 2026 games.
You must buy ice cream at a participating stand on one of those dates, while supplies last.
