Cyber Monday Food App Deals: Are They Worth Downloading?

See which Cyber Monday food-app discounts pay off after fees, and which apps to skip this year.
Downloading a food app for Cyber Monday pays off only if you already order from that restaurant or delivery service. A single discount code rarely covers fees and minimums for a first-time user. A food app here means a restaurant's own ordering app or a third-party delivery app installed to claim a holiday code.
Adobe Analytics reported $13.3 billion in 2024 Cyber Monday spend, up 7.3% year-over-year, with 57% placed on phones, according to Adobe's Cyber Monday recap. That mobile share explains why holiday food offers push users toward apps.

What did past food deals actually require?
Chipotle offered $0 delivery fees on Chipotle app and Chipotle.com orders from Nov. 28-Dec. 1, 2025 with code CYBER25, according to Chipotle's holiday announcement.
The discount applied only inside its own channels. Shoppers had to enter the code at checkout during that window. That pattern is common for holiday food offers.
The deal lives only in the app or website. It needs a code, an account, and an order placed on specific dates.
Why do fees decide the savings?
Delivery subscriptions change the math. DashPass costs $9.99 per month or $96 per year and lowers delivery and service fees only on eligible orders that meet the merchant minimum, according to DoorDash's DashPass explainer. An occasional user may not order enough to break even.
Check your normal order before you download:
- Does your usual total meet the merchant minimum?
- Is your restaurant and delivery method marked eligible?
- Would pickup or a direct restaurant order cost less than delivery with fees?
What value lasts after the weekend?
Some chain apps add points on every order. McDonald's lists MyMcDonald's Rewards at 100 points per $1 on eligible purchases, redeemable from 1,500 points, with points expiring the first day after the sixth month, according to McDonald's rewards page. That structure rewards repeat visits over time.
A one-time holiday code works differently. It cuts one order, then ends. Regular buyers keep earning points, while occasional buyers keep only the app notifications.
Should you download one this year?
Download when the app matches food you already buy. A pizza, chicken, or delivery app you use twice a month can hold both a holiday code and later points. A new app for one $5 saving often adds account setup, location access, and order minimums.
Skip downloads until you see terms that fit your routine. If you order weekly pickup from one chain, keep its app and check for a Cyber Monday code inside it.
