Cracker Barrel Rewards members can claim a free Shareable after a first logged purchase, a birthday dessert, and food or retail rewards earned with Pegs. Cracker Barrel Rewards is a free loyalty program for restaurant, online, app, and store purchases, including to-go, delivery, catering, and merchandise. Joining is free, and spending earns Pegs toward later rewards.
Cracker Barrel said in its 2023 announcement that members earn 1 Peg per $1 spent. Timing matters, since the welcome and birthday benefits depend on when a shopper joins, logs a purchase, and adds a birthdate.

How does the free Shareable work?
New members receive one free order of Shareables after the first purchase made after registering. The Rewards Terms state that the offer has no minimum purchase, carries a limit of one reward per person, and excludes the Shareables Duo and Trio. That makes order timing simple.
Join before buying, then make sure the first purchase posts to the new account. A to-go, delivery, catering, online, app, or store purchase can start the process.
What comes for your birthday?
Members can receive a free dessert from the dessert menu for a birthday. Tasting Table reports in its account of the program that the benefit is issued on the first day of the birthday month and stays redeemable for 45 days. Add a birthdate to the account before the birthday month arrives.
A dessert menu choice keeps the redemption simple, since the benefit applies to desserts rather than the full menu.
How do Pegs become free items?
Purchases build a Peg balance, and Pegs can be exchanged for food or retail rewards. The Rewards Terms place the first redemption at 75 Pegs, with higher tiers at 150, 225, 300, 375, and 450 Pegs. The dollar caps rise with each tier.
Higher tiers are capped respectively at $7.50, $12.50, $20.00, $27.50, $35.00, and $40.00.

How do you avoid missing the freebies?
Use the account every time, especially for the first purchase. A missed scan means the welcome Shareable may not trigger, and later Pegs will also be lost. Check the account details before key dates.
