Chesapeake, VA Event Ticket Giveaways Near Me: Where to Find Legit Deals

Legit event ticket giveaways near Chesapeake right now center on Hampton Roads radio drawings and free city-run events. Chesapeake readers can enter a current station drawing for a chance to win concert pairs and attend city concerts with no entry needed. A ticket giveaway here means a drawing for a chance to win, not a guaranteed free ticket.

That distinction matters because entry dates, age and location limits, and prize pickup rules decide whether an offer is usable.

Which concert drawing is currently listed for Chesapeake listeners?

Saga Communications WNOR FM99 lists pairs of tickets to Movements at The NorVa on Oct. 31, with entry from Oct. 21 to Oct.

28, 2026 and five winners drawn from eligible registrants, as described on its Movements tickets giveaway page. Today is Oct. 27, so that window is still open for Chesapeake entrants who meet the station rules.

It is a chance to win, not a guaranteed benefit. The listing shows how quickly Hampton Roads concert giveaways open and close. Readers should check the entry-period dates beside the benefit before making plans.

An expired drawing does not create a current ticket option.

Who can enter and how are prizes claimed?

Saga Communications WNOR FM99 states its contests are open to residents age 18 or older living within 75 miles of the transmitter, and bar recent winners from winning again within 30 days, according to its New Year contest eligibility notice. Chesapeake falls inside that Hampton Roads listening area, but the age, residence, and recent-winner limits still apply. Readers should confirm those limits on the specific entry page before registering.

Winners must claim prizes at 870 Greenbrier Circle, Suite 399, Chesapeake, VA, weekdays 12-5 p.m. within 30 days, with e-tickets sent by the station, Ticketmaster, or Live Nation, under the station general contest prize rules. That means a win still requires weekday pickup or e-ticket steps.

Keep identification, entry confirmation, and any prize-release form ready.

• Check age 18 or older and residence within 75 miles.
• Check the entry start and end dates and the 30-day recent-winner bar.
• Plan weekday pickup in Chesapeake within 30 days or follow e-ticket instructions.

What free city events need no drawing at all?

City of Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism featured Symphony Under the Stars on Sept. 6, 2026, with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra on the Bagley Stage at Chesapeake City Park. Admission and parking were free, so no entry, drawing, or winner notice was involved.

That format suits families and readers who want a firm plan. Visit Chesapeake points to the same Labor Day-weekend orchestra concert plus city history, park, and family events as no-giveaway-needed options. These are free public events, not chances to win.

They remain useful when a radio drawing does not fit age, location, or schedule limits.

How can you avoid paying to collect a supposed win?

Legitimate sweepstakes never require winners to pay insurance, taxes, or shipping to collect, according to Federal Trade Commission consumer advice in its prize scam payment warning. A Chesapeake ticket-winner notice that demands payment before delivery does not match that rule. Do not send money, gift cards, wire transfers, or bank details to collect tickets.

Virginia's attorney general similarly warns that notice of winning a lottery never entered is a red flag, and Virginians can report suspected scams to its Consumer Protection Hotline. Save the message, stop contact, and report through that hotline. Use only the station entry page and city event listings to confirm details.

• No purchase is necessary to enter the station drawing described above.
• A demand for insurance, taxes, shipping, or fees signals a problem.
• An unexpected win for an entry never submitted needs independent checking.
