Anchorage residents can enter two cash-prize drawings in fall 2026. Lotto Alaska offers weekly cash prizes, and the statewide PFD Education Raffle offers cash prizes open to Anchorage entrants. A charitable lottery is a lottery run by a nonprofit group where proceeds support a cause.
PFD means Permanent Fund Dividend, Alaska's annual payment from state resource revenue.

Why Anchorage lacks state draw tickets
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Alaska is one of five states with no state lottery state lottery ticket sales report. Anchorage residents cannot buy state draw tickets at retail.
That leaves charitable lotteries and statewide raffles as the local cash options. Both require checking sponsor terms for residence, age, and entry dates.
What Lotto Alaska lists for October
Lotto Alaska shows ticket UY-2995468 as the October 4 winner, with a $100,000 weekly cash prize stated on the display October drawing display. The same display lists a $373,350 weekly pot and a $549,597 jackpot amount. Those figures are separate display amounts, not one combined payout.
Entrants should read the entry page for draw dates, ticket rules, and claim steps.
How the PFD Education Raffle works
According to the Alaska Department of Revenue, the PFD Education Raffle was created by House Bill 213 in 2018 sixth annual raffle announcement. Alaskans enter by donating PFD funds in $100 increments. Donations split 50% to education grants, 25% to an endowment fund, and 25% to raffle funds.
A chance to win is not a payment for a set benefit. The Department reported four winners from 9,341 entries in the Jan. 29, 2025 drawing same raffle results announcement.
Prizes were $80,767.69, $40,383.85, $20,191.92, and $10,095.96. Those amounts show past statewide payouts, not current prize levels. Anchorage entrants compete in the same statewide pool.
