Shoppers also received entry for ten nationwide $10,000 cash winners. The Cash amount varied, and the $10,000 prize was a chance to win. JCPenney ran in-store Black Friday drawings at 5 a.m., 9 a.m., 1 p.m.
and 5 p.m., according to JCPenney Newsroom. Prizes included a free exclusive Snoopy Snow Globe and coupons for up to $500 off $500. Shoppers had to be present at drawing time to take part.
How do free gift cards with purchases work?
Best Buy's recurring Black Friday pattern bundles a free e-gift card with hardware, according to Best Buy Corporate. One example gave an extra $50 e-gift card with select Dyson purchases for Plus and Total members, claimed after fulfillment. You pay for the product first, then receive the card.
