Some birthday freebies remain available throughout your birthday month, but that rule applies only to selected loyalty programs. Current examples include Sephora, Ulta Beauty, DSW, and a limited Red Robin offer for children. Each program sets its own account, purchase, age, and redemption requirements.

Sephora's month-long birthday gift
Beauty Insider members may claim one birthday gift anytime during their birthday month. In-store redemption at Sephora or Sephora at Kohl's requires no purchase, but gifts remain subject to availability. Online redemption requires a merchandise purchase of at least $25.
Members receive one gift per year, so choose carefully if several gift options or 250 points are available. Sephora's Beauty Insider terms explain the current redemption conditions.
Ulta's birthday gift and double points
Ulta Beauty Rewards members receive one birthday gift during their birthday month. The member must have a birthday saved in the account and a valid email address or access to the Ulta app. The gift needs no purchase when redeemed inside a store.
Online orders and pickup transactions require a purchase. Members also earn double points on qualifying purchases during the month, according to Ulta Beauty's current rewards terms.
DSW's birthday reward
DSW VIP members may receive a $5 birthday offer, while Elite members may receive $10. This is a spending reward rather than a completely free item, and members must have previously made a qualifying purchase of at least $1. DSW issues the reward on the first day of the birthday month and expires it on the final day.

Red Robin's limited birthday offer
Red Robin's current month-long birthday benefit applies to registered children age 17 or younger. The child's offer provides a $7 discount throughout the birthday month, but it requires a $4.99 accompanying purchase and dine-in redemption. Adults should not rely on older references to a recurring Birthday Burger.
Red Robin ended that continuing benefit after final 2026 eligibility for birthday months beginning by July 1; future adult birthday promotions are discretionary, according to Red Robin Royalty's June 2026 terms.
What to check before your birthday month
Prepare before the first day of the month so account requirements do not prevent an offer from appearing.
- Add your complete birthday to each eligible rewards account.
- Confirm that your email address or app access still works.
- Check whether an earlier purchase is required, as with DSW.
- Separate an in-store free gift from an online offer that requires a purchase.
