Compare four app-free birthday rewards, including enrollment deadlines, purchase rules, and practical in-store redemption steps.

You can get some birthday freebies without installing an app by joining through a website or email form and redeeming in person. Depending on the offer, the store may accept an emailed reward, your registered email address, or an account lookup. "No app required" does not always mean "no account" or "no purchase." Check enrollment deadlines, prior-purchase rules, identification requirements, and expiration dates before visiting.

No-purchase birthday rewards

Sephora Beauty Insider members in the United States and Canada may claim one birthday gift during their birthday month. In-store redemption requires no purchase; provide the email address registered to the account. Online redemption requires a $25 merchandise purchase, according to the Sephora Beauty Insider terms.

Chuck E. Cheese's free Birthday Club is for children ages 1 through 17. It emails a reward for 30 free game-play minutes and free cotton candy, redeemable in-store without buying a party package.

Enrollment must happen at least seven days before the birthday, and Play Pass or Play Band activation is separate, as detailed on the Chuck E. Cheese Birthday Club page.

Food rewards delivered by email

Adults in the United States or Canada can join WahlClub online rather than through the Wahlburgers app. The birthday benefit is a free non-alcoholic shake sent by email. Members may show the email in the restaurant and have up to 14 days after issuance to redeem it, according to the Wahlburgers WahlClub FAQ.

Jersey Mike's also advertises an email-club birthday reward without requiring its app. The free birthday sub has an important condition: members must have purchased a regular sub during the previous year, according to the Jersey Mike's MyMike's page.

What "without an app" actually means

These programs still require some form of membership. The app is optional, but the company needs an email address, online account, or club enrollment to issue and verify the reward. The redemption method differs by business.

Sephora can find a membership using the registered email address, while Chuck E. Cheese and Wahlburgers issue rewards by email. Save the message and keep access to the inbox used during enrollment.

A free item may also carry a qualifying condition. Sephora and Chuck E. Cheese provide documented in-store, no-purchase routes, while Jersey Mike's requires a qualifying purchase during the prior year.

Prepare before your birthday

Join early enough to satisfy any enrollment cutoff. Chuck E. Cheese requires at least seven days of lead time, and waiting until the birthday may leave too little time for an emailed reward to arrive.

Before traveling to a location: For Sephora, plan an in-store visit if you want to avoid the online purchase requirement. For Jersey Mike's, check whether your account reflects a regular-sub purchase from the preceding year before expecting the birthday reward.

  • Confirm that your birth date and email address are correct.
  • Search your inbox and spam folder for the reward.
  • Read the expiration date and purchase conditions.
  • Bring identification if the reward email or program instructions request it.
  • Keep the original email available instead of relying only on a screenshot.
