Birthday Freebies in Winston-Salem, NC: Updated 2026 List for Local Winners
Three documented loyalty-program birthday rewards — Sephora, Jersey Mike's, Texas Roadhouse — and exactly what Winston-Salem members need on file to claim each one.
Winston-Salem residents can collect three documented birthday freebies this year: a beauty gift from Sephora, a free sub from Jersey Mike's, and an appetizer-and-rewards perk from Texas Roadhouse. Each one is tied to a membership program with its own sign-up rules, not a walk-in giveaway, so claiming them means planning a little ahead of the birthday itself. All three brands have local stores or verified redemption options in the Winston-Salem area, and all three publish their own terms for who qualifies and how.
The sections below cover what each program actually offers, where to use it locally, and what to do before your birthday month arrives.
Verification note: Program terms and availability can change. This page was checked against linked sources on October 26, 2026.
Sephora's Beauty Insider Birthday Gift
Sephora's Beauty Insider loyalty program gives members in all three tiers — Insider, VIB, and Rouge — a choice of birthday gift from brands that have included Dr. Dennis Gross, Glossier, Tower 28 Beauty, and Dae for 2026. According to Sephora's own January 2026 newsroom release, the gift is redeemable throughout the member's entire birthday month, not just on the day itself.
Winston-Salem shoppers have two nearby locations to redeem it in person: the Sephora inside JCPenney at Hanes Mall, 3320 Silas Creek Parkway, and the Sephora at Kohl's location at 1010 Hanes Mall Blvd, both listed on Sephora's store pages. The gift options shown in the newsroom release can rotate from year to year, so the specific brand lineup is worth checking again close to your birthday month rather than assuming it repeats. Membership itself is free to join, and the gift requires an account with a verified birthdate on file before the redemption window opens.
Jersey Mike's Shore Points Birthday Reward
Jersey Mike's runs its birthday perk through Shore Points Rewards, the chain's free loyalty program. Per the Shore Points Rewards terms and conditions, members receive 72 Shore Points on their birthday — enough for a free regular sub, wrap, or sub bowl — but only if they have a birthday on file, have opted into email communications, and made at least one qualifying sub purchase in the prior 12 months. That purchase requirement means this isn't a reward new members get automatically just for signing up near their birthday; the account needs some purchase history first.
Winston-Salem has Jersey Mike's locations where the reward can be redeemed, including the store at 1314 Creekshire Way, NC 27103, which opened as the city's fourth location in 2017. Because the points post automatically once criteria are met, there's no separate claim form — the reward simply becomes available for redemption on the app or in-store once the birthday hits.
Texas Roadhouse VIP Club Birthday Perk
Texas Roadhouse's birthday benefit comes through its VIP Club, a free sign-up program rather than a mobile app. The chain's own frequently asked questions page confirms VIP Club members get a free appetizer shortly after joining, plus additional rewards every year on both their birthday and their sign-up anniversary. Winston-Salem has one Texas Roadhouse location, inside Hanes Mall at 186 Hanes Mall Circle, NC 27103, according to the chain's own location page.
As with the other two programs, the exact reward details can change, and the FAQ doesn't lock in a specific birthday-year value — only that something is issued annually to members. Signing up early matters here too: the welcome appetizer comes shortly after joining, but the birthday reward depends on having an account active and a birthdate recorded well before the date in question.
What to Do Before Your Birthday Month
None of these three rewards shows up automatically for a first-time visitor. Each program requires an account, a correct birthdate, and in Jersey Mike's case, a prior purchase, set up in advance of the birthday itself. A few steps make the difference between getting the reward and missing it: Because all three require advance enrollment, a walk-in customer without an existing account on their birthday typically won't be able to claim any of these on the spot.
- Join Sephora Beauty Insider and confirm your birthdate is saved before the first day of your birthday month, since the gift window runs the full month.
- Join Jersey Mike's Shore Points and make at least one qualifying purchase in the 12 months before your birthday, and opt into email so the reward can be communicated.
- Join the Texas Roadhouse VIP Club and verify your birthdate is on file ahead of time; the welcome appetizer comes right after sign-up, but the birthday reward is separate and arrives later.
- Check each program's app or account page close to your birthday, since gift items and reward values can be updated from year to year.
Where to Redeem Locally
For readers who want the addresses in one place, the Winston-Salem redemption points are the Sephora inside JCPenney at Hanes Mall (3320 Silas Creek Parkway) and Sephora at Kohl's (1010 Hanes Mall Blvd), the Jersey Mike's at 1314 Creekshire Way, and the Texas Roadhouse inside Hanes Mall at 186 Hanes Mall Circle. Each location operates under the brand's standard loyalty-program rules rather than a location-specific promotion, so the same enrollment steps apply no matter which store a reader visits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to spend money to get these birthday rewards?
Sephora's Beauty Insider program and the Texas Roadhouse VIP Club are free to join with no purchase required to enroll, but Jersey Mike's Shore Points requires at least one qualifying sub purchase in the prior 12 months before the birthday reward is issued.
Can I get the Sephora birthday gift on any day of my birthday month?
Yes — Sephora's newsroom release states the 2026 birthday gift is redeemable any time during the member's full birthday month, not only on the exact date.
What if I sign up for these programs right before my birthday?
Jersey Mike's and Texas Roadhouse both expect an account with a verified birthdate on file in advance, and Jersey Mike's also requires a purchase in the prior 12 months, so joining at the last minute may mean the reward isn't active yet.
