Get birthday subs, doughnuts and drinks in St. Pete with signup timing and redemption limits explained.
The best-documented restaurant freebies for St. Petersburg readers in 2026 are account-based birthday rewards from Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin' and Firehouse Subs. Each provides a food, drink or points benefit tied to your birthday and an active membership.
A rewards program is a free account that tracks purchases and unlocks treats. Signup timing, birth-date entry and purchase rules decide whether a birthday benefit activates.

Which birthday drinks and sweets apply?
According to Starbucks, Rewards members earn Stars on eligible purchases and receive a yearly birthday treat redeemable for free food, drinks and more. You can review current details on the Starbucks Rewards page. According to Krispy Kreme, members receive a birthday reward on the birthday date listed in their account, valid for 30 days from receipt.
The account needs a birth date on file plus about 24 hours after signup, and members earn 10 points for every $1 spent in shops toward redeemable treats, as described on the Krispy Kreme Rewards page. According to Dunkin', members who add their birthday receive a 3X-points birthday bonus on purchases. The bonus can be activated the day before, the day of, or the day after the birthday, according to the Dunkin' Rewards page.
How do everyday points build value?
Everyday points and birthday benefits work on separate tracks. Everyday credit builds through eligible shop purchases, while birthday benefits activate only around the birthday date. Use routine stops to keep the account active, then watch the birthday window for the dated bonus.
Points carry toward redeemable treats, while birthday offers expire quickly if unused.
What does the sandwich birthday require?
According to Firehouse Subs, Firehouse Rewards members receive a free medium sub with any purchase on their birthday. The program also offers points, exclusive deals and up to $10 off a first order subject to terms, listed on the Firehouse Rewards page. Free here means a free item with a required purchase, not a no-purchase free item.
Bring the account and the required purchase to the shop on the birthday. These are membership benefits with conditions, not sweepstakes prizes. No drawing or chance to win is involved.
How should you time signups in St. Petersburg?
Add your birth date when you create each account. An account created too close to the birthday may miss the cutoff for that year. Open each Rewards page above on your phone before you go and confirm the birthday entry shows.
- Create the account before birthday week
- Enter the birth date correctly and keep it saved
- Check the purchase rule beside each birthday benefit
- Redeem within the stated validity window
