Where to redeem rewards in Anchorage

PetSmart lists two Anchorage stores where in-store rewards can be redeemed. They are at 1200 North Muldoon Road 99506 and 601 E Dimond Blvd 99515, according to the company's store locator in PetSmart Anchorage store locator. Use those addresses to plan pickup during the birthday month.

Points and coupons live in the rewards account, not at the register. Other listed programs work through an online account, post, or app action. That makes them usable from Anchorage without a separate local list.

How do birthday rewards work?

PetSmart gives free Treats Rewards members with a saved pet Birthday or Gotcha Day 1,000 limited-time bonus points worth $2. Members also receive a one-time 2x-points-on-treats offer during the birthday month, as described on the learning-center page in PetSmart birthday and Gotcha Day details. The date must be saved in the account before the birthday month.

Without that saved date, the birthday benefit does not trigger. Petco Corporate describes a free Petco Perks tier that earns points for Petco Cash plus a birthday treat for the family pet. Petco Cash means points that convert toward later Petco credit.

The free tier also includes personalized offers and autoship savings, while paid Premier adds monthly cash and food, grooming and litter discounts.

Which sweepstakes offer a chance to win?

These contests offer a chance to win, not an assured product. No purchase is required to enter Chewy's program, which is different from receiving a free item. Nationwide's Pet Birthday Sweepstakes runs Jan.

1-Dec. 31, 2026 for U.S. legal residents age 18 and older.

Anchorage residents who meet that residency and age rule enter by posting a pet birthday photo or reel in the pet's birthday month with #PetBirthdaySweepstakes on Instagram, with a limit of one entry, under the sponsor's rules explained in Nationwide Pet Birthday Sweepstakes rules. Chewy's USA Social Media Sweepstakes is entered by commenting on or responding to Chewy's giveaway post on Facebook, X or Instagram and following that post's steps during the contest period. Chewy's USA rules require following the specific post for that period.

• Check age, residency, date, and account rules before posting.
• Post only in the pet's birthday month for Nationwide and only during the listed contest period for Chewy.
• Keep to one Nationwide entry and follow each Chewy post's steps exactly.

How do Petfinder actions create donated meals?

Petfinder favorites, adopter profiles and adoption inquiries on Petfinder.com from Aug. 17-Nov. 16, 2026 count toward donated food.

The effort can reach up to 6 million meals, about 1.5 million pounds. It also supports two rescue flights relocating more than 100 shelter pets. The Purina News Center announcement describes both the meals goal and the flights in Purina announcement of the Petfinder anniversary effort.

This is a donation triggered by browsing and inquiry actions, not a product sent to the person who clicks. Actions outside Aug. 17-Nov.

16, 2026 do not count toward this anniversary effort.

What does city adoption cost?

Anchorage Animal Care and Control publishes fixed adoption fees. Dogs are $72-$205, cats and kittens are $62-$195, and rabbits, birds, ferrets and reptiles are $5-$90. Checkout is same-day by cash, check or card, according to the Municipality of Anchorage adopting-a-pet page.

These are purchase fees, not free giveaways, so budget for the listed range before visiting. Adoption still connects to giveaway savings later. A newly adopted pet's Gotcha Day can be saved for future birthday-month rewards once the account is set up.

What should you set up early?

Rewards are not automatic. PetSmart requires the pet's date be saved, while Petco, Nationwide and Chewy require account, post or email opt-in steps. Sweepstakes odds depend on entry volume.

Early setup does not improve odds, but late setup can miss the birthday-month window.

• Save Birthday or Gotcha Day in Treats Rewards weeks before the birthday month.
• Join Petco Perks and allow account messages before the birthday month.
• Confirm Instagram access and hashtag format before the Nationwide birthday-month post.
• Save the Muldoon or Dimond store as your pickup location for faster redemption.
