What does Fred Meyer give back on groceries?
Fred Meyer says members earn points on food and household spending through a free account. According to Fred Meyer membership information, shoppers earn 1 Fuel Point per $1 on groceries and general merchandise. Those points are for fuel savings, not checkout cash.
Redemption is at Fuel Centers and participating Shell stations. The account is free, and earning applies to groceries and general merchandise.
How does Carrs for U work in Anchorage?
Carrs uses the local name Carrs for U for the same type of food-store offer. According to Carrs rewards information, shoppers are invited to create a free member account for rewards and coupons. That account is the entry step before any member deal, coupon, or reward month.
Anchorage shoppers should create it before they plan to use birthday or monthly offers. Without the account, store rewards and coupons are not available.
What do birthday and monthly offers require?
Safeway program terms tie the birthday treat to account details and recent shopping. According to Safeway program terms, members must add month and day birthday and have one purchase in the prior 12 months to qualify. The monthly free item also needs action.
Members must clip the monthly free-item offer, worth up to $10.
- Add month and day birthday before the birthday month
- Keep at least one purchase in the prior 12 months
- Clip the monthly free-item offer before redeeming
How is the Walmart sweepstakes different?
Walmart offers a survey sweepstakes with a chance to win, separate from free store rewards. According to Walmart sweepstakes rules, the 2026 Q3 August-October sweepstakes covers people located in the 50 states, D.C. or Puerto Rico, which includes Anchorage shoppers.
Entry is by survey or mail, and purchase does not improve odds. That makes it different from a free item or birthday treat. Shoppers seeking certain savings should join free store accounts early, add birthdays ahead of time, and clip offers before the reward month.
