Which sweepstakes offered a chance to win?

Discover Durham ran a May 1-31, 2026 giveaway. The bundle paired two Carolina Theatre show tickets with parking, popcorn, soda and shirts plus a Museum of Life and Science family four-pack valid two years. The winner was to be notified by June 2.

NC 529 offered one winner six tickets to the August 13, 2026 Bulls game against Memphis. The prize also included a first-pitch opportunity, sponsor merchandise and a $529 NC 529 contribution. It excluded travel, meals and lodging.

These two were chances to win, not walk-up free tickets. Treat past dates as timing guides for future sponsor posts:

• Discover Durham entry ran May 1-31, with notification by June 2.
• NC 529 prize centered on one date, August 13, and one winner for six tickets.
• Travel, meals and lodging were not included in the Bulls prize.

How do DPAC Rush and lottery seats work?

DPAC says Student Rush tickets usually cost $30 plus tax. They are released the morning of each participating 2025/2026 Broadway show for that day's performance only. Sales are in person only at the Blue Cross NC Ticket Center.

See DPAC's student seats page for participating shows. DPAC also runs a digital lottery for most Broadway performances. It sells a limited number of discounted tickets per drawing.

Each entry covers one performance, and availability is limited. DPAC describes the format on DPAC's Special Offers page. Rush suits buyers who can visit the Ticket Center on show day.

Lottery suits flexible buyers who accept limited odds and per-show entry:

• Rush: morning-of, that day only, in person only.
• Lottery: enter per performance, with limited tickets.
• Both cover participating or most Broadway shows, not every event.
